Circuit Makati : Backyard Kitchen + Brew
I had the chance to visit and try this restaurant before heading home. Since the place is near where I am staying, me and my colleague decided to check this out. Backyard Kitchen + Brew is one of the first restaurant that opened up in Circuit Makati. The restaurant is located in front of Circuit Makati facing the Globe Circuit grounds.
The restaurant is still on a soft opening when I visited on the last week of November. There was an event in Circuit Makati so there's a lot of people in Circuit and the restaurant is almost full. There's also an acoustic set up in the restaurant at the time.
For tonight, we tried their Adobong Duck Flakes Rice Bowl, Backyard Burger and their Waffle Breaded Fried Chicken. I also had a serving of their draft beer.
The adobong duck flakes is pretty much okay served with boiled eggs. It's pretty much like chicken but I think it has this thicker muscles. Saltiness level is just right together with the rice. Foodie note? Masarap with reservations.
The Backyard Burger is liked a garlic longganisa inside a bun. But this one is a good longganisa. I liked it actually together with their crispy potato chips. My personal note? Masarap with reservation, especially if you liked the patty juicy.
The Waffle Breaded Fried Chicken is a bit for the kiddo inside me. I think I tasted a bit of cinnamon in the breading (yeah I think so). There's just some part that's a bit bitter for me. The chicken is okay from the inside though I am hoping for an extra dip to kick up the experience. Masarap with reservations, since I personally will love this with other dips.
Overall, the restaurant is looking good outside and even when we got inside. The staffs are okay though one staff forgot to take my order. Overall experience is pretty nice. Personal rating would be 3.5 out of 5.
