Pilugaw at Lugawan Republic Timog

What is best after drinking some good old beers and singing your heart out? For me, it is always lugaw or goto or arrozcaldo plus some additional tokwa't baboy on the side.

So after a memorable night out singing some Erik Santos tunes and some other videoke OPM hits in Music 21 in Timog, I was invited to check out this lugawan place nearby. The place they say, is a bit popular in the area especially for their lugaw which is called Pilugaw.

Pilugaw is made out of malagkit rice and sotanghon making the texture so rich. So tonight I ordered one Pilugaw and a serving of tokwa't baboy.
I really like the texture and the taste of this one. The flavor is just right for me and I just add some calamansi zest and it is ready to go. I always liked my tokwa't baboy together with my lugaw. I mixed them altogether to make it more flavorful.
This is really one must visit place if you are near the area. I will definitely be back for some more Pilugaw.
