Akira (Robinson's Magnolia)
I was able to visit Akira at their branch in Robinsons Magnolia when I was looking for dinner. Akira is a Japanese restaurant that has 3 branches in the Metro which includes Robinsons Magnolia, Shangri-La and Makati Place. Though I was not able to try out their Teppanyaki, the dishes that I ordered were great too.
For tonight I am trying out their Fried Kani and Pomelo Salad, Chicken Karaage, Chicken Teriyaki, Tonkatsu and their Akira Fried Rice. There's actually a lot of food options and there's an executive bento meals which is a big hefty. I decided to just get their ala carte servings.
Fried Kani and Pomelo Salad (P268.00), fried strips of crab sticks on top of their pomelo salad. This is an instant hit for me. They also serve this with an awesome dressing. Crispy and fresh, and so good it can serve around 2 to 3 people. Masarap without reservations.
Chicken Karaage (P288.00), crispy chicken karaage that is well seasoned inside. The breading is also tasty while the meat inside is cooked right and juicy. The breading stated like awesome chicken skin. An ala carte serving can be good for up to three people. Masarap without reservations.
Chicken Teriyaki (P288.00), grilled well seasoned boneless chicken in teriyaki sauce served with greens on the side. Aside from the smoky flavor their teriyaki sauce is also good. A serving could fit for 2 people. Masarap without reservations.
Tonkatsu (P268.00), juicy and tender pork tonkatsu served with greens on the side. Served in 5 cutlets, the tonkatsu was just right for. Though there might be some other better dishes on the menu. Masarap with a bit of reservation.
My personal rating for the restaurant is a 4 out of 5.
I would definitely try out some other option on their menu especially their Teppanyaki and their executive Bento meals.
