Memoirs from a Food Crawl, PB Co.
One technique in food crawling is having a central fund. It's like having a treasurer that managing your funds so you will not always compute with the bill sharing. We decided to have a potluck of P1,000 each for this Capitol Commons food Crawl.
After trying three restaurants already, our fourth stop is something sweet. We decided to try PB Co. or Peanut Butter Company. They are known for their peanut butter and their peanut butter infused menu. Me and my foodie crew decided on trying their burgers so we had Sloppy Burger and their Bacon Cheeseburger.
Sloppy Burger P295.00, this is a tribute to the American favorite Sloppy Joe topped on a quarter pounder burger patty. The sloppy burger has their chilli peanut butter, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. I like the infusion of peanut butter with the burger. I was surprised that it's actually good. I remember my old boss doing this with his sandwich. The burger patty tasted nice and mildly flavored. The whole ensemble was nice and masarap without reservations.
Bacon Cheeseburger P285.00, beef burger with double smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce and tomatoes and their Peanut Butter. I really love the surprising taste of peanut butter. The bacon's good and not too salty for me. The bacon , burger and the peanut butter blended well though I would prefer a little more. Masarap with a bit of reservation.
While waiting for our orders I decided to check their peanut butter. Luckily, they allowed me to taste all flavors. They had six flavors, Very Creamy (190.00), Chunky and Crunchy (P190.00), Dark Chocolate (P210.00), White Chocolate (P210.00), Creamy Marshmallow (210.00) and their Hot and Spicy Chili (price not indicated). I liked the Very Creamy and Chunky and Crunchy. What's surprising is their Hot and Spicy Chili which tasted like the hot and spicy peanuts you can buy outside lol. I ended up buying Chunky and Crunchy and Creamy Marshmallow as recommended by Chef Jay.
My personal rating for the restaurant:
