Shinjuku (Legazpi Village)
Little Tokyo has always been enticing me, since there's a lot of people that I knew that's always recommending this place. I think that is mainly because I love Ramen and the place is filled with a lot of Japanese restaurants. Little Tokyo is located along Chino Roces Avenue, Legazpi Village, Makati City.
On my first visit here, a friend of mine recommended Shinjuku. The restaurant has two branches in Legazpi and in Bel-Air Makati. I decided to try their Beef Tsukemen, Gomokumen and their Gyoza.
Beef Tsukemen (P365.00), this dish has cold noodles with chunks of beef and a slice of egg. The soup base is served in a different bowl. This ramen noodles is eaten by dipping the noodles in the hot soup. Well, you can pour the soup if you like to. The soup is not too salty and very nicely seasoned. Though it not that rich like some ramen the taste is just good. Masarap without reservations.
Gomokumen (P360.00), this ramen dish has a lot in it. This salt based soup has assorted vegetables, chashu pork, shrimp and squid. A lot of toppings in a large bowl of noodles too. The broth is not that rich and a little kick with the broth would be good since there's a lot of toppings. The chashu pork is tender and tasty. The vegetables are well cooked. Masarap with a bit of reservations.
Gyoza (185.00), their hot gyoza is juicy inside. Well seasoned pork tat is good to start your meal. Masarap without reservations.
My personal foodie rating for the restaurant:
