The Penthouse 8747

Elegant and glamorous. The exact words that came into my mind when I entered The Penthouse 8747.
Inspired by the Art Deco style in the 1930s as adopted by the famous Great Gatsby. Aiming to be a neighborhood destination in the Makati Central Business District, the restaurant offers a great view of the Makati skyline at night. It has an intimate lighting that's perfect for dates and special events.

Must try's

Golden Crab Cakes, made with fresh blue crabs meat with sriracha remoulade sauce. Definitely masarap without reservations.

Italian Sausage and Prosciutto Flatbread, combination of prosciutto, arugula and italian sausage bits. Though it would be better if it had a little more toppings this is masarap with a bit of reservation.

Pulled Pork Bun, mantao buns with their pulled pork that is cooked for 36 hours. It has an asian barbecue sauce, sour cream and salsa. The pulled pork is really tasty and tender. Masarap without reservations.

Seared Tuna and Zesty Risoni, made with tuna, olives, cherry tomatoes, spinach, furikake and black sesame breading. Perfect combination, masarap without reservations.

Mahi Kilawin, made of raw mahi mahi with shallots, bell peppers and cranberry coulis. This kilawin is one of my favorite dish in the restaurant. It has a balanced sweet and sour taste and it's perfect as a side dish. Definitely masarap without reservations.

Steaks and Sides, made with 300 grams of Margarette River Striploin with creamed corn and house fries. The striploin was nicely done and it's tasty and tender. Their house fries was really good and crispy. Masarap without reservations.

I tried two of their cocktails, the Night in the Plaza which is a mix of vodka and fresh watermelon juice. This drink is actually refreshing with a hint of alcohol in the end. They also let us try their new Cheesecake Cocktail which is made of their own Bluberry Cheesecake. This cokctail drink is really creamy and it tasted like melted ice cream.
